This is me, as a puppy!

NA-NA -NA-NAAAAA
TODAY'S YOUR BIRTHDAY
yes today is the Waffler's 4th birthday, hard to know where the time has gone. In honor of her day I found and old, old post she must have written when she was a baby. I've updated it some with a few recent pictures. We are partying like it's 1999 here at the Waffle house, we will post pictures of the revelry tomorrow enjoy - Carrie

OK, at least I think this is me. Notice how young I am - small head, but big ears. I kind of have the "deer in the headlights" look, but that is because my big sister kept taking pictures of me with the flash on.
Here is Taco Belle when she was a puppy. Can't you tell that she would grow up to be a trouble-maker?

Me, I'm a good girl, if you don't believe me ask the peeps, but they are easily entertained. Pee outside and you'd think I won the Nobel Peas Prize. Gotta go take a snooze

This is our favorite shot of her hanging out at camp, looking good.

The Japanese Spork

At summer camp we use a lot of sporks, you remember the combo spoon/fork that really doesn't work well as either. Well we were shopping at Mitsuya ( a japanese market here in Torrance) and I found these. If you've ever suffered with sporks you can understand my excitement over these. The picture shows that you can use it to eat your noodles and drink your soup too!. (what can I say I'm easily amused)
the Japanese spork
Not sure how it works as a fork but it looks like a decent spoon. Can't wait for my next weekend at camp to give it a try. But of course I had to show it to the head of the Waffle house.
"Hmmmmm what is this? Maybe there is Peanut butter on it!"

"I'd better take a taste just to be sure."
"Nope.... just another empty promise."

It's 11:46pm

the neighbors are playing music and all Truffie wants to do is party.

I went to close up for the night and she followed me outside with happy ears and a waggy tail looking at me with hope in her puppy eyes.

No dice kid, back to bed.

Truffle at the hospital

No she is fine, we are just a week back from camp and have lots to post about our summer and the trip up to GDB's open house, but I wanted to post some pics of our trip last night to visit a friend in the hospital. A friend of mine had to spend a LONG time in the hospital so that she could be monitored for a chronic condition. She has to stay in her room hooked up to tons of machines to record her brain waves, my friend also happens to be 12 yrs old. Well yesterday was hump day in her hospital stay, she is not allowed to handle any electronic devices (no cell, gameboys, ipod, ect...) so there has been lots of arts and crafts, reading and movie watching. We thought that a visit from Truffie would be a great way of helping pass the time. Because my friend was in bed - this one time I let Truffie up on the bed. You could tell she wasn't sure if she should be up there but soon was rolling around and having a great time with her buddy. That was until she knocked a wire loose and her time on the bed came to an end. We kind of hid her behind a chair while the nurse came in and fixed the wire, not that she was mis-behaving, she was just being her silly labbie self.

After dinner my friend and Truffles played some on the floor, she gave her a 'hat' just like the one she was wearing, made her do some commands and generally loved on Truffie. All in all it was a good trip, everyone behaved well (people especially- you know is it always the humans cause all the trouble), and Truf didn't seem phased by the whole experience (sights, smells and equipment). Other than being very hungry she could have hung out and been the center of attention all day long. We might try for another visit over the weekend if my friend is still there.

ps - don't know why blogger is being stupid about the pictures, this is the original orientation that were taken, I flipped them when I imported them to my computer, but blogger flipped them back when I uploaded them. Go Figure.....
